Wrapped in beautiful imagery and a rich color palette, Like Dates for Coffee provides a critical look at Omani folklore is a well of social intelligence and a key source of the society’s world vision. In rhythmic stories, crisp proverbs and lyrical poetry, this film shows the power of folk ideas in both Omani and American societies and highlights the distinct worldview of each. Master narratives are so inherent that we're often too close to see them, but for the future of global relations we might need to.
